Friday

Every Friday Bhagavad Gita Class from 6.30pm at ISKCON Newcastle

Bhagavad Gita As It Is

A weekly Bhagavad Gita class on Friday nights at the temple, starting from 11th April 2014. The programme begins at 6.30pm with a little bhajan for 15 minutes, then class until 7.15pm, then questions and answers until 7.30pm. Then Gaura Arati until 8pm, followed by free vegetarian refreshments.

There is a different speaker every week and we humbly request and encourage all to come along and take part in these Friday nights, for enlightenment, inspiration and transcendental fun!

Bhagavad Gita is the basis of our Krishna Consciousness movement and Srila Prabhupada said “If one adopts the priciples enunciated in the Bhagavad Gita, he can make his life perfect and make a permanent solution to all the problems of life. This is the sum and substance of Bhagavad Gita”.

Hearing and chanting the glories of the Lord in the association of devotees is our life and soul and Srila Prabhupada said we make 90% of our advancement through hearing. This is why we feel that this will be a nice opportunity for us all to come together and make progress side by side, as they say ‘a family that prays together, stays together’ or as I prefer ‘a family that dances together, advances together’!

Please come along and join us, Gouranga!
