With special guest speaker – Krishna-kripa Prabhu

Hare Krishna!

We hope you are well! Please come along for the Friday Night Gita this week on April 23rd, beginning at 6.30pm.

We have a special guest speaker in town for the weekend, Krishna Kripa Prabhu, who has been practicing Bhakti Yoga for the best part of 40 years. Originally from America, he now travels all over the world, sharing the chanting of the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra and the teachings of Bhagavad Gita.

He will be speaking on chapter 15, text 6.

In this verse, Krishna is describing the Spiritual World. If we want to go on holiday, we read about the resort in a travel brochure and we become attracted to go there. Similarly, by hearing of the description of the Spiritual World, we become attracted to go back home, back to Godhead. Krishna says that in the Spiritual Sky there is no need for Sunshine, Moonshine, fire or electricity because all of the planets there are self-luminous. We have only one planet in the universe, the Sun, which is self-luminous, but all the planets in the Spiritual Sky are self-luminous. The shining effulgence of the Spiritual Sky is called the Brahmajyoti and it emanates from the Supreme Spiritual planet of Krishna, Goloka Vrindavan.
