Janmashtami Festival at ISKCON Newcastle
17th August 2014 Sunday from 3pm till Midnight
Janmastami, Lord Krishna’s birthday is a big day for those of us who want to make advancement in spiritual thought and deepen our relationship with Krishna.
The birth of Lord Krishna is one of the biggest celebrations of the year. Krishna, a Sanksrit name for God which means ‘the all-attractive one’, appeared on earth over 5,000 years ago in Vrindavan, India. Janmastami is a day to celebrate His presence in our lives, to be grateful for our relationship with Him, and to join in the festivals to love and honour Him.
